As I launched myself into retirement I found I was travelling new roads. Although I know that millions of people have been down these roads before me, where are they when I need them? Could I learn from their experience? In this day of the internet I did not find a lot of resources for retired people. In the Olden Days you just bought a book or got a book from the library. In this day and age, most people of retirement age are computer savvy, so I thought a website might be a useful resource. At the same time, I was recruited for a clinical trial at UBC to test a computer software program that might improve cognitive functioning. This trial included education sessions about aging that I found interesting and thought would be interesting to others so I have added some information from the education sessions. As I started posting on Twitter, many retirement bloggers began to appear and I have added content from many of them to my posts as well as from other Word press retirement bloggers. It’s been an interesting process.
What I am not going to do: Frequent emails, spam etc. . I have also started a group on Facebook to generate a community and some mutual support. Facebook Group.
However I have added some ads to see if they generate any income from this site.
